Business Terms & Conditions

Our terms and conditions are described here. Please ensure that you read them before purchasing products from Twisted Carbon.

By accessing the content of this or any other Twisted Carbon site you agree to be bound by our terms and conditions explained here.

A.      Shipping

1.      All items are subject to stock availability.

2.      Orders are typically dispatched within 1-3 working days of cleared payment being received by us.

3.      Postage and packing costs are dependent upon the size and weight of the individual packaged item.

4.      Standard postage and packing costs for UK destinations will be stated against the individual items listed.

5.      Postage and packing costs for non-standard delivery, including increased insurance requirements, will be calculated at the request of the prospective buyer. The prospective International buyer should contact us in advance of purchasing an item in order to understand the postage & packing charges.

6.      Import duties and taxes payable by International buyers are the sole responsibility of those buyers. Any required documentation accompanying any package shipped will fairly and accurately represent the value and type of products it contains. Requests by the buyer or a prospective buyer to misrepresent the type and/or values of products shipped in order to minimise import duties and taxes will not be entertained.

7.      Whilst we make every effort to deliver goods on the day we specify, we cannot guarantee delivery on that day or accept liability for deliveries made outside this timescale. We cannot accept liability for out of pocket expenses or other costs incurred due to failed or delayed deliveries.

8.      We are not responsible for uninsured items lost or damaged in the mail.

9.      Shipping insurance is offered as an optional extra unless specifically stated to the contrary. It is the responsibility of the buyer to choose a shipping option that specifically includes insurance. Should you choose a shipping option that does not include insurance, or includes insurance that does not cover the full value of the item being shipped you accept full responsibility for all damages or losses incurred in the shipping process.

10.  No local pickup service is available.

11.  We will not ship to P.O. boxes.

12.  The choice of shipping carrier is at our discretion.

13.  Postage, packing and handling charges are non-negotiable.

14.  We cannot be held responsible for orders delayed by incorrect address information supplied during the checkout process.

 

B.       Payment

1.      All orders placed will be subject to our acceptance of the order. We reserve the right to decline any order for any reason.

2.      Only payment via the provided online mechanisms is permitted when purchasing online. Please note that any commission charged by the online payment service to you in conjunction with placing an order is not refundable.

3.      Payment is subject to United Kingdom VAT (Value Added Tax) at 17.5%. UK VAT is included in the stated price of the items.

4.      UK VAT is also chargeable on postage and packing costs. UK VAT is included in the stated cost of the postage and packing. Our VAT registration number is GB 369 800 328

5.      Many countries charge duty on goods at the point of import. You should always confirm what the import tax and duties will be before placing your order, these charges will normally be accepted by the courier used to deliver your goods and passed on to you at the point of delivery. It is your responsibility to pay these charges. Please note this charge is levied by your government not by us and we have no control over it. If you or someone acting on your behalf rejects the goods at the point of delivery then we will charge you for all the associated delivery and administration charges.

6.      All goods supplied by us remain our property until such time as they are paid for in full.

 

C.       Returns & Refunds

1.      All sales are final.

2.      7 Day Satisfaction Guarantee - All products come with a 7 day satisfaction guarantee. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase simply return it to us within 7 days of receiving your order (i.e. whichever is the earlier of the date delivery was first attempted or our shipping date plus two calendar days) and we’ll issue a full refund to you via your original payment method (subject to conditions) - please note that postage, packing and handling costs are non refundable. We regret that refunds cannot be made for products that show evidence of having been used. Return shipping costs can only be refunded where we have sent the wrong goods in error. Outside of the 7 day satisfaction guarantee refunds are not available. For goods sent outside the UK/EU, compliance with the 7 day satisfaction guarantee is entirely at our discretion. If you are uncertain as to the suitability of a product for your needs then please contact us before making your purchase.

3.      Damage in Transit - If your goods were damaged in transit, we request that you report it to us within 7 days. If goods are visibly damaged on receipt, its best to sign the delivery note accordingly. Products received from us in a damaged or defective condition must be returned within 30 days from the date the order was placed. Once the damaged goods have been collected and received back into our warehouse, we will arrange for a replacement items to be sent to you.

4.      Faults Reported After 7 Days - If you are reporting faulty goods more than 7 days after receipt, then we strongly recommend that you contact the manufacturer or importer direct for a warranty repair.

5.      Condition of Returned Goods - The item must be unused and unopened and packaging must be in pristine condition to be eligible for a refund or replacement, and all goods will be tested if reported faulty upon their return either by technical staff or the manufacturer where appropriate. If any goods are returned in an incomplete manner, at our discretion we can either reject the returned item as incomplete and return the goods at the customers expense, or we can charge the customer a sum equivalent to the replacement cost of the missing item - this can include small items such as manuals, cables, batteries, etc. If we cannot replace the missing items then we will charge the customer a fee to compensate for the written down value of the incomplete stock. The goods remain your property and responsibility until such time as we sign acceptance of the return delivery of the goods, we strongly advise you to use a secure signed for service, for example Royal Mail Special Delivery. The cost of returning the goods is your responsibility. If an item has been opened and used we may still provide a refund at our discretion, however we reserve the right to charge a re-stocking fee to cover time, materials, etc.

6.      Product Warranty - The warranty terms provided are specific to the individual product. Where provided, a warranty will cover repair or replacement of manufacturing defects that may occur during normal use. Product damage due to normal wear & tear, accidental damage, deliberate damage, superficial damage, damage due to negligence and external events is not covered by this warranty. Please see the detailed terms and conditions of your warranty for further and more specific information. If products need to be returned to the manufacturer or importer and you have not returned the warranty card you will need to provide some proof of purchase. Statements given on the site regarding a warranty at the time of purchase supercede any warranty statements on product packaging or accompanying documentation. Batteries are usually not covered by warranty unless specifically stated.

7.      Returning Goods - Return shipping is always at the customer’s expense. Twisted Carbon does not offer a free returns service. Please obtain a proof of posting. Shipping and handling charges cannot be refunded in any situation. We are not responsible for uninsured return products lost or damaged in the mail - we reserve the right to refuse replacement or repair in this situation. We are not responsible for products damaged due to improper or inadequate packaging when returned - we reserve the right to refuse replacement or repair in this situation. Always contact us for instructions before returning goods. For non UK/EU orders, any Duty or VAT charged by the relevant authorities on returned goods is your responsibility. We reserve the right to deduct any Duty, VAT or other associated charges incurred by us, together with a fair charge for time spent on the process of handling such charges, from any refund amount due to you. We may also request that you pay us additional funds to cater for these charges before we return or replace items.

8.      Replacing Items - It may take up to 30 working days to process a returned product after we receive it. We will make a replacement only after we have received the returned product. We reserve the right to make a replacement based on our currently available stock selection. Return addresses are stated on the documentation accompanying your order. If you have lost, mislaid or disposed on this documentation please contact us to obtain the necessary return address. When making a legitimate replacement we may, at our discretion, refund shipping cost incurred by the customer in returning the faulty item to us.

 

D.      General

1.      We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service. We will not pass your details onto any other company or individual without your consent. We will not store or disclose to 3rd parties any financial information that you provide us with for the purposes of making payment.

2.      By using this site and any other associated Twisted Carbon site you agree to respect the intellectual property rights of LBS Accessories Ltd. and will refrain from copying, downloading, transmitting, reproducing, printing, or exploiting for commercial purpose any material contained within these sites.

3.      Products shown on this site and any other associated Twisted Carbon™ site may vary slightly from the images displayed. Products are described as accurately as possible, but colours, designs, sizes and materials may occasionally vary from those illustrated.
